Why TermiPore

Why TermiPore?

Understanding why conventional termite treatments fail and how TermiPore reticulation solves it.

Conventional Treatment Limitations

  • Standard soil spraying only works during initial construction and fades over time.
  • Re-treating finished concrete floors is virtually impossible once the building is completed.
  • Manual spraying leaves untreated gaps, providing entry paths for subterranean termites.
  • Future re-treatment requires invasive drilling through expensive floor tiles and foundation walls.
Engineered Solution

The TermiPore Solution

  • Composite polymer compound pipes establish a permanent, reusable underground delivery network.
  • Termiticides are injected through external junction boxes without household disturbance.
  • Micro-pores allow termiticides to seep evenly into the soil with zero untreated gaps.
  • Eliminates drilling through expensive tiles, flooring, or foundation slabs.
The Process

How It Works

A simple, structured three-step process to safeguard your property.

Install

TermiPore system is laid in an interconnected network beneath slabs and perimeters during construction stages.

Inject

Termiticides are pumped under pressure through external junction boxes, flowing evenly through the network.

Protect

Chemical releases through micro-pores, establishing a continuous, impermeable barrier against termites.

The Difference

Why Not Other Pipes?

Adapted irrigation tubes and drilled PVC pipes are not engineered to protect structural foundations.

The Concept

What is Reticulation?

Reticulation refers to an interconnected network designed to distribute fluids uniformly and efficiently across a defined area. The concept is inspired by natural systems, where intricate networks—such as leaf veins, blood vessels, and root structures—ensure the continuous flow of nutrients and resources.

TermiPore applies this same principle to termite protection by creating an underground reticulation network that evenly distributes approved termiticides beneath a structure. Installed during construction, the system forms a continuous protective barrier that safeguards the foundation while allowing convenient future re-treatment through designated access points.

Unlike conventional one-time soil treatments, a reticulation system is engineered for long-term performance, making termite management more effective, accessible, and less disruptive throughout the life of the building.

Why Reticulation?

Why Reticulation for Termite Protection?

Built for Long-Term Structural Protection

Active Sub-Slab Protection

Prevent termite attacks, don’t treat them

Traditional termite treatments are often limited to a one-time application, making future maintenance difficult once construction is complete. An anti-termite reticulation system overcomes these limitations by creating a permanent underground network that enables controlled and uniform distribution of termiticides whenever required.

Key Benefits

Benefits of Reticulation

Discover the engineering advantages of choosing a modern reticulation system over outdated termite protection treatment methods.

01

Continuous Protection

Creates a permanent underground network that helps maintain an effective protective barrier beneath the structure.

02

Uniform Distribution

Engineered to deliver approved termiticides evenly throughout the reticulation network for consistent coverage.

03

Future Re-Treatment Access

Allows periodic termite treatment through designated injection points without disturbing finished floors or foundations.

04

Reduced Structural Disruption

Eliminates the need for invasive drilling, excavation, or demolition during future maintenance.

05

Lower Lifecycle Costs

Reduces long-term termite maintenance expenses while helping preserve the structural integrity of the building.

06

Suitable for Modern Construction

Fast recharging through concealed injection points ensures that the architectural beauty of the building is not compromised.

Installation Timing

When to Install TermiPore Reticulation System?

Select your construction stage below to view tailored installation layouts and strategies.

As can be seen from these pictures, TermiPore Pipes can be installed at foundation level, or even at ground or plinth level. Termites, also known as "silent destroyers", often make their way under the ground and inflict damage to the foundation and weaken the structure.

It is a myth that only wooden structures are at risk from termites. Termites also make their way through plaster, cement and other materials. They can make tunnels and bore their way through most types of structures. By the time, the damage is evident on the surface, it is too late and also too difficult to treat and control effectively.

Thousands of termites live in a colony, and even after a loss of a large percentage of colony members or even after the loss of the queen bee, those left behind re-organize and can again multiply and flourish their colony in no time. This means, recurrence after treatment is easily possible. Thereby a need for termite treatment at intermittent intervals is a must.

Best way to solve this is to lay an Anti-termite Reticulation System at the foundation level, or at plinth/ground level. Having this installation in place will enable you to effectively treat the ground below with termiticide at periodic intervals. This is the best way to prevent termite and never reach a stage of damage control!

Best Practices

How to Install TermiPore Pipes?

Installing TermiPore Reticulation System is a simple process. It is a simple network of pipes across the area, in a net-like pattern. Along with the pipes, we also provide all necessary accessories such as elbows, T-jointers, connectors, fixing hooks, inlet pipes, end-plugs, and junction boxes.

Lay TermiPore on a bed of sand and use fixing hooks and cable ties to secure the pipes in place. Use elbows at sharp corners, T-joints at cross sections, and test after installation. After testing, cover the pipes with sand to ensure it is not in direct contact with cement.

Connect it to plain plastic pipe that extends up to the junction box wherefrom the termiticide is to be injected. For proper results, ensure a junction box / injection point is placed at every 20 to 30 meters of TermiPore pipe. Use a pump which can give a pressure of 0.2 to 1 kg/cm² to inject termiticide at regular intervals of 2 to 3 years.

Installation Steps Overview

  • Lay TermiPore on a bed of sand
  • Use fixing hooks to secure pipes
  • Use elbows for corners & T-joints for intersections
  • Test the flow rate before covering
  • Cover with sand (avoid direct cement contact)
  • Place junction boxes every 20–30 meters
Quality Assurance

Testing after Installation

Once the installation is done, please check the pipe by injecting water from the junction box, before covering it with sand, flooring or tiles, using a pump and a pressure of 0.2 to 1 kg/cm² / 1 Bar. This should be done to check that the liquid is reaching everywhere. The flow rate may vary along the length, but all areas should get slightly wet. The area all along the pipe should get wet after pumping for 15–20 minutes. If this is not the case, then do the following checks:

  • 1
Check if the pipe is squeezed at any sharp bends
  • 2
Ensure that the pipe is not in direct contact with cement
  • 3
Check if the fixing hooks are too tight, restricting flow
  • 4
Check the pump pressure and size of pump used (Pressure of 0.2 to 1 kg/cm²)
  • 5
Check that the length of TermiPore used is not more than 30 meters per junction box

Since installation is so simple, often, we are asked if it is a DIY solution. We strongly recommend that you get this installation done by professionals, to avoid missing any nuance. This is a one-time installation; you cannot make changes once the flooring is done. Always use liquid termiticides and avoid using powders dissolved in solvent.

Safeguards

TermiPore Installation Dos and Don'ts

Critical safeguards to maintain flow rate efficiency and maximize underground tubing lifespan.

DOs

  • Install TermiPore on a bed of sand using fixing hooks/barbed clamps
  • Use elbows at sharp turnings, T-jointers at cross sections, and joiners to connect pipes
  • Use a junction box at every 30 meters / 100 feet
  • Check flow-rate after installation with water before covering
  • Use pressure of 0.2 – 1 kg/cm² to inject
  • Cover the pipes with sand after installation and after checking the flow rate
  • Use Emulsion Concentrate Termiticide as far as possible
  • Quantity to inject is as per pre or post treatment standards

DON'Ts

  • Do not allow direct contact between cement and TermiPore pipes
  • Do not bring TermiPore pipes all the way to the junction box; use a plain pipe for that
  • Do not install TermiPore in wet or marshy areas
  • Do not use powder termiticides dissolved in solvent for treatment
